Hello,

I am looking for some help in retriving the key codes from my BCM400 and installing a new OS system.

I was thinking to connect a new hard drive and install the new system on it then apply the key codes (I'll keep the old one in case anything went wrong).

I am not sure also where I can get the OS to install... any help would be really appreciated.

Keycodes are tied to the MSC. To apply keycodes to another system, you need to go to the nortel site to regenerate the keycodes for the new system.

What Rls do you have now?
What Rls do you want to upgrade to?

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

It got 3.7 at the moment, but I can't access it and I want to backup the key codes and install completly new system if that posibble.

Regards,

You can put the HD in a PC and look at the files to find the KeyCodes, I don't remember what folder or file.

If you put in 4.0 Software you will neeed to have the keycodes regenerated to 4.0 Format.

Don't you know the present Passwords?
