Hello,

I'm busy setting up a 2 nodes Exchange Cluster on a SAN, and I've some problem with Arcserve 11.5SP2 Exc Agent.

Doc refers to ressources to be create for the add-on, but not for the "normal" Exchange Agent.
Don't see how to install it properly.

Here is the bit I know:
- on each node:
- Install Arcserve + Tape option + SAN option
- Configure both tape & san (attached the nodes a Distributed SAN)
- Create on each node a full backup of the node, excluding what has to be excluded.
- Exchange agent ??? IF I install it as the SAN option, obviously, I'll have always a failure on the node not owning Exchange, isn't it ?

Any input will be welcome,

Thanks,
chris

Hello,

I managed to install the Exchange Agent on each node. Then, adding the EVS name in the Arcserve manager let me backup the DB without any needs for a clustered ressources (I haven't tried yet to backup btw :)).

Now, question left:
- As the cluster is on a SAN, I have install Arcserve + SAN option on both node (no need to have Arcserve clustered so far), how do I make sure to backup exchange, and to back it up only once ?

If I want to use the SAN infrastructure, I have to back exchange from the cluster node, but then, jobs are independant... not really willing to pass the volume twice :)

thanks,
Chris
