Install Error TM 3.0 :(

Hey therer.

Upgrading an OTM product up to TM 3.0.

During the Install of TM 3.0 There is an error message.

The blue/grey box comes up and says at the top "PostgresSQL8.1"

and the message says.

"Invalid username specified: Logon failure: user not allowed to log on to this computer."

What user?
Password?

Surely it's not "Anonamyous" (however you spell that)

Noticed that during the install, in the group 'Users' "Postgres" is installed. Made sure that the group 'Users' were allowed the following policies. "Access this computer from the network." and "Log on locally".

Is there something I am missing?
I am going to check this morning and see if the "anonymous" Login has been disabled. They are pretty antsy about thing like that.

Well I had a gooroo named will and a gooret work on this.

the guret fixed the install..bunch of changes to restrictions...created a "test" account to make sure a normal USER could log in..

and then the install came through without any hitches.

then we couldn't get the web pages to work properly.

the guru "WILL" fixed that by changing "All Unknown ISAPI Extensions" to Allowed from Prohibeted. evidently that is default prohibited in 2003 servers..

thanks NORTEL for your support in the DOC's..not.. Sometimes you just need good people behind you!

Hi all

I have successfully completed 3 tm3 installations.
One upgrade on xp and 2 fresh installations on 2003 servers.
You must follow all the notes in the general prod notes and all will be well. This must important being the modication of the 2003 server settings.

Except This bug has come to light and is with Nortel design at present. If you wish to restict some of the users from seeing all the sites or even just the dect item then when that user goes to seach for a telephone from the web interface then no sites are shown so thet cannot modify or even see any of the phones.

We Nortel guys love Nortel, we just wish that they would write a more user friendly manual that says the stuff we need it to say. But then if they did that, then we wouldn't need GNETS aka ETAS
