Install Error Message :instalw error 114 on loading Cobol workbench 1

We have identical machines with no problem-one will not load cobol workbench and returns this error after extracting files and reading configuration:-


instalw

Execution error:file 'log'

error 114c=0,call=21,seg=0
signal=11

Why does this happen ??????

Did you ever find a resolution to this error. I need to get Micro Focus back up to ASAP and I can't get arounf this error.

I am getting the same thing when I try to install. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I just came across the same error. Has anyone gotten around this yet? I tried setting my system time to 1999 and still got the error.

It's a Y2K thing. The application is Y2K compliant but the install program is not. Supposedly; if you set your system date to 1999, you can install, then reset the system date. This didn't work for me (win98). However, I found the fix for the setup exe on Merant's FTP server.

I downloaded the zip and txt files 'fix2kset' from the nonsecurity key directory and used Method 2 as described in the txt file. It worked!

I downloaded the fix and used method two. I got past the 114 error, but am now getting a message "one or more GNt missing from engine" and the Setup utility is displaying error code 00207. Can any one help me with this one?
