First Check the obvious...
-HD Space
-Are any other programs running ie. Virus Software
Try this before installing:
This makes sure that nothing is running during the installation...
Select: Start>Shutdown -- DO NOT SELECT "OKAY" --
Select: Ctrl+Alt+Del
When the pop-up menu comes up
Select:Shut Down Windows
Select:End Task From the bottom of the pop-up window.
Wait a few seconds till it asks you if you want to end-task.
Select:End Task
Your desktop will come back...
Now try to install your program...
