Ahhh 1603, what a vague error, have gotten it many times. Are you trying to install this on a regular PC (not Cisco MCS hardware)?

Yes using a dl 360 (only the 320 and 380 are supported from that range).
Just had the cipt pt 1 in Chicago and it was suggested hat we build a lab environment - so that's what we are trying. Not very successfully though......!

thanks Jerake75, but thats the 1st thing I did. Read, re-read, installed and re-installed. All goes well way into the finishing stages then the weird error pops up. HAve tried with and without o/s upgrade. Using sql from cisco and sql from m/s

All the usual probs are explained on here, but this error doesn't get much response. cheers for helping.

Ok - user error. I had skipped a vital step. I was setting spirian OS image version to 2000.2.7 and applying the 2.7sr5 os upgrade. Doing this works.

win2k sp3
hack as previously documented with spirian version set to 2000.2.6

Apply the os upgrade for 2.7
Apply the os upgrade for 2.7sr5

Copy the shutdown.exe from 2.7 upgrade directory to c:\utils

Install ccm4.1
