What I would like to do is install a Deployment(5.1)Manager version of WebSphere and a app server on a single system. I'm using the silent install and everything goes fine as long as I create a server1.

I would like to have NO server one and just run a AddNode.sh and create a new server using the DeploymentManager.

I get all kinds of Corba-JNDI lookup errors....

did anyone try this ???

I believe you need to have server1 to keep your administration application / jvm in it. So, server1 is necessary. Later on, you may create cluster and add the nodes from other servers.
