Hello All,

We have a 2400IPX. A user is reporting that when an outside call comes in they can't transfer it to another extension. The call either gets dropped or it rings the user's phone back.

Any suggestions on what I should look for?

Thanks for the help.

Verify that this can be done by other extensions. Then compare the SFC of the two extensions. CMD ASFC.

Thanks Belevedere. Will do on Monday when I get back to work. I'll let you know the outcome. Have a Great Weekend.

Well. I just compared several station that can transfer outside callers to internal extensions and the SFC setting is the same.

Any other ideas?

Sometimes it's the destination station with the problem. Verify that a different station can transfer to the same destination station.
A destination station in DND will block the transfer.
A destination station with no call forward set will recall to the originating station.
No registers available will block a transfer (not related to just one station).
Worst case is an issue with the station port. You could try resetting the station card (affects up to 16 stations).
Last resort is to move the extension to a different station port (re-cross connect the phone to a spare port).
NOTE: if the transfer key is on a soft key or a programmed line key, verify the button assignment is correct for the transfer function AKYD, ADKS, ADSL.

Is this a digital station or an analogue? If it is an analogue try a different handset!

Hello All,

Sorry for not returning to update this post.

I had NEC come in and fix this issue for us. At this point I can't remember what they did so it's fixed and on to the next big thing.

Thanks for all the help.
