Guess that would be the other way around!
You can insert a button in a movie clip, or convert a button into a movie clip, and control this movie clip with the button.
What did you have in mind?
On roll over, the button(movie clip) fades in?
On roll out, it fades out?

Yes you can insert a movieclip-object into a button-object. In your button symbol just make a new keyframe on say, the Over frame. Then put your movieclip there. Badda bing, badda boom.

Kind of Oldnewbe..
I want juwt a plain button.
And when mouseover the button plays a animation.. like changing colors...
You know just a usual animation like all others... ----------------------------------------

Oh that kind of insert!
Didn't really get it on first reading. Frozenpeas solution is possible... Only problem with that, is you don't have much control over the clip. Roll over the clips appears and does it's thing, but roll off before it's thing is over, and badda bing, badda boom, it's gone! Like or not!

I understand oldnewbe!
But how do I do if a want the movieclip to play to its end.. and not just stop when I roll off?

It's not very nice if the button text is blinking or something.. if it just jump away to another frame.. I would rather like it to play to the end of the clip.. ----------------------------------------

Easy have the mouseover as a seperate movie and place the button over the top. On the button put :

on(rollOver) {
clip.play();
}

Where 'clip' is equal to the mouseover movie clip instance name Regards
