inserting images in reports

Hi.
Every time i try to insert a jpg in a report i can´t see it in the preview. Other times the PC gets to busy and crashes.
I'd already decreased the quality of the photo (my company's logo) and still the same problem.
Tried to insert in Header/Left and Heade/Right; it works better on the Left side... but still doesn't print!
I have Project 2003 with SP2.

Any ideas? I think is a bug, 'cause sometimes it works other times it doesn't!

I'm running MS Project 2003 without the service packs. I just tried several times to do what you're doing and was always successful. I tried both gif and jpg files (including one test where the left side of the footer had a jpg and the right side had a gif -- or was it the other way round?). Worked every time.

My machine isn't a large one (256MB) so I don't have a lot of stuff running (Zonealarm, a couple of other services, nothing special).

In short -- cannot replicate problem. Try doing the same thing on a different machine to see if the problem occurs there.

You might also want to start Project and click on Help | About then click on the "disabled buttons" item -- might find something interesting there.

I think I figured it out:
we were using pictures with 321 kb; altough I tought it wasn't too big, after all it seems it is!

I reduce it to 3 kb (2cm x 0,8cm) and it's working fine!

Nevertheless I will stay alert! I still think there's some bug somewhere... Project doesn't deal very well with inserting and deleting images.
