Hi Everyone,
I have been using Dreamweaver 4 to build a website and when I import my Flash movie into a particular cell I designed it for, it causes one of the other table cells to expand in width when I preview it in Netscape. IE works fine. It also does not cause the cell to expand in the Dreamweaver display. I have played around with it and found if I make the Flash movie smaller in size (width) it works fine, but if i don't give it a good deal of padding, it expands. Is this a common problem? Is there a way to have a Flash movie fit snuggly inside a table cell and not cause cell problems in Netscape?

I would greatly appreciate any help on this. Thanks in advance.

Tim

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to thank all of you for your help. I was able to fix the problem by reexporting from Fireworks without shims as oouf suggested. Taking out the object tag didn't seem to make a difference one way or another as far as my table. Anyway, Thanks oouf! And thanks to everyone else for their responses to my question.

As for the mac / pc debate. I use a pc and my twin brother who I work with uses a mac. I think everyone will always have a personal preference.

Thanks again everyone,
Tim

Hi again:
I'm glad you have managed to make peace with your situation however I just would like to make one final point. The striping of the object tag is only necessary if you want your film to play correctly in AOL 4 or 5 for the mac (and IE 4.5 for Mac as both AOL 4 and 5 use this same outdated browser) and even then only if the film is placed at the top of the page, hugging the boarder of the browser.. and is over the 638 standard pixel width that AOL opens all their doc's on the Mac platform. If none of these conditions are true then it is not necessary to strip out the tag. ByeBye:)}
