Hello all,
Been at this for a while and can't seem to get it to work. I have a report with 3 groups: By technician, by job, then by invoice. 1 technician can have multiple jobs, and each job can have multiple invoices.
Each job will have hours posted to it by the technician as well as an apprentice. The group 1 footer should show the technician's total hours for the job as well as the total hours for the job itself (which may or may not include an apprentice hours).
I managed to run a query total the hours for the job and run another query for the total hours of the technician on the job. Great - I simply add that to group 2 footer.
I can't sum the hours at the group 1 footer - so I do a running total. Great - it works.
Now, I try to use the running total in a formula to work out a ratio and it keeps saying "a number is required here". I tried the 3 formula running total and the result is the same: "a number is required here".
I simply need the running total value to be a value. Is there a quick and dirty way to do this? Any hints are very much appreciated.
