Insert Object Problem: Crystal Reports 8.5

If this is not the right forum ,apologies in advance.

We have a user of CR 8.5 who experiences problems inserting a field object or text object into a report. A circle with black line appears and they cannot place the new field in the report.

This is on Windows XP. Now on the same computer, using 'runas' for a different user and an insert of field or text object can happen.

The user having the problem is a local Admin on the machine.

Was Crystal installed while that user was logged in or was it installed under another user ID? If it was installed uner another ID, then some of the registry settings were not set for this user. Try doing a reinstall/repair while logged in as the user who is having the problem.

It turns out the issue was having multiple monitors. When the user moved the screen to a different screen, she could now insert. Moving to a different screen, no insert.
