My company uses the Internet Explorer plug-in for Hyperion Intelligence. We use Hyperion to query various loan data from managed portfolios. The summary data is then dropped into Excel sheets and send it to the relevant folks. One issue that we have is that different analysts will update these reports as requested. Sometimes, the original query is not accessible to the analyst doing the updating. Is it possible to insert or store these queries in Excel so any analyst can quickly access the original queries. The queries are stored as IE documents. We are using Office 2003, IE v6.

Thanks in advance,
PJ

Hi,

Yes, You can use Data/Get External Data/New Web Query...

Once inserted in a sheet, the query can be refreshed manually or automatically (Data/Get External Data/Data Rnage Properites)

Not quite. What I am looking to do is to actually imbed a file into excel. It is almost like hiding one document inside of another.

You do you access this file on in IE?

Do you need to FTP the file?
