Hello! I am trying to setup an access form for routine data entry. I am wanting to insert the 'author' information (that Office automatically inserts into the file properties) into the form automatically without the ability of the user to intervene. I want this so that I can determine who created the record without having to rely on their word (wierd situation here). If it would be easier to simply insert the username of the currently logged on user that would be fine too.

Thanks.
Matt

the username of the currently logged on user
For database user: Application.CurrentUser()
For network user: Environ("UserName") ' not applicable on Win9x platform

Hope This Helps, PH.
