Hi all,

Does anybody know why the system not response when you try to inquiry->Purchasing->Trx by document then select By document date from and to? I am using MGP7.5 on MSDE. I thought pm00400 might corrupt so I deleted this file and ran the chicklinks to recreate pm00400 but I am still not able to inquiry in Purchasing. I can see a list of records when I opened Trx by document, but then it will not response after I select By document date and put specific date that I want to view.

Any help and thoughts will be great appreciated.

Rob

How long are you waiting for it to respond? Our system takes a while as well. I entered 05/11/05 to 05/13/05 and it's taking a while. I'd suggest let it run.

I'm pretty sure ours is a sql server performance issue, and we have about 21 users and are upgrading the server real soon.

Okay I'm still waiting for my system to respond, and I'm sure it will eventually.

Thanks!

Hi Barb,

Thanks for your response, what I am mean here 'not response' is it locked up the Great Plains(We have 5 users) completely and I have to kill the application and remove the user off the Activity file before it will allow me to login again. It happened on every workstation. I already applied the latest service pack 6 but still could not solve this issue. I know it is going to take a while to redisplay based on the range but not lock up. We have about 123000 records in pm30200(PM Paid trx hist) and 67940 records in pm30300(PM Apply to hist) and 233072 records in pm30600(PM Distribution Hist).

Any other thought?
Thanks,

Rob

run a routines>purchasing>remove PO's

select range blank to ZZZZZZZZ

it'll push all open PO's that have been fully received and invoiced to history. Your PO open file might be a little full right now.

then try running your report

and they wonder why they call it Great Pains!
