Inquiry on SMGR downloads in support website (WebLM)

Hi,

quick question, I just downloaded the 8.1.2 OVA of SMGR on this portal:

Under this link below files are downloadable:

My inquiry is, why there is a WebLM file in this page? Does this mean, i have to install this file WebLM_8.1.2.0_r81211102.bin once i have uploaded the SMGR-8.1.0.0.733078-e67-41E.ova?

No, the WebLM is embedded on SMGR so you can use that one for all your licenses. The WebLM OVA on the SMGR page can be used as a stand-alone licensemanager if you for example deploy an Avaya SBCE on VMWare and connect it to an IP Office prior to R11.1. So it is used for installs without a SMGR basically, lol.

Also a another use is if you have a few servers (Like AAM) that don't support centralized licensing you can't have them on the same LM, for example we have 3 regional AAM globally so use SMGR and 2 Standalone WebLM's.
