Input mask or formating

I need to have a format for font ocr a extended.
This is in a text box on a form. basically its currency
and needs to have a place for each number. The l is supoose to be a line separating each number. Any help would be great

if you have a number like $10,000.00
I need it to look on a form like thisand each number should be underlined

$ 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 . 0 | 0

maybe something like
"$ |"9"|"9"|"9"|"9"|"9"|"9""."0|"0"|"
and then underscore the textbox
