Does anyone know of an input mask that works for all UK post codes? Thank you very very much!

Input mask for UK post codes?

Hi,
I don't know of anything that will satisfy every situation, but my preference is just to have a text field 9 chars long with the format set to > (ie it will capitalise everything).
The post office when deciding what to do in this case obviously didn't have database designers/programmers in mind when they thought up the system.

Thanks for that JR. I think I'll do that in preference to letting my client completely do their own thing!
I totally agree with you about BT, my thoughts exactly as I was taking a break in the Co-op.
In future I think I'll cost in one of those postcode lookup programs - they seem to start at about £75 per user licence.
