I have installed inoculan on my NT4(SP6) server. Now my W9x clients can not save Word/Excel documents that were stored on the server. The NT4 server is generating a permitions error, however when I stop all inoculan service's on the NT4 server my clients can save their documents.

do u have enabled "virus wall" on the server? i u do so, that might be the reason, that it denies every access on stored files

I had this problem with Inoculan 4 about a year ago. After a bit of searching on CA's support site I found a patch that cured it for us. It only happened with Excel for us though, not for Word so I could be sending you in the wrong direction.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: NT -CANNOT SAVE EXCEL FILES ON NT SERVER
----------------------------------------------------
When opening Excel files that reside on an NT
server that is scanning outgoing or both
directions, an error will occur on the save stating
that the file is readonly. This problem only occurs
on builds 375 or later. The problem will not occur
with save as.
