Every so often I get a small screen with a porno picture that invites you to sign onto something. It's called Innocent Virgin. It appears on my desktop, in my programs listing and as an Icon on the desktop.

Is this a virus? is there a way to stop it? Is it necessary to get a firewall?

That's probably just a program, try going to add/remove programs in the control panel, and look for Innocent Virgin, or whatever it would be called, and remove it.

Get and run Ad-aware (free) and see if it finds and removes it for you:

If it doesn't and you have either win95, 98, or ME download Startlog.com from the link into a folder then doubleclick on it and run it. It'll create 2 text files on your desktop. Copy and paste the results of just Startlog (not the stubpaths file) to your reply here. It may help us tell you how to remove it. Also, see if 'innocnet virgin' is in add/remove in the control panel. If so remove it.

I Ran ad-aware but it didn't find anything and it's not in my add remove programs. It only show up occassionally. I install a fire wall. We'll see what happens.
Thanks for the help.

It sounds like it might be a 'dialer' - something a friend of mine has had problems with recently.
If this is the case, and it has been installed, it should appear in add/remove, the .exe will probably be a folder in programs, and check for unwanted new connections in the dial-up networking folder. My suggestions are what I would try myself. If incorrect, I welcome corrections to my rather limited knowledge. Andy.
