After doing a clean install of windows 2k I notice the harddrives are reported as being about 500 megs smaller than they are,the bios reports the correct size though?/??

Inncorect harddrive size

Different definitions of gigabyte usually account for this. Can be 1000x1000x1000 or 1000X1000x1024 or 1000x1024x1024 or 1024x1024x1024.
I think win2k uses last definition, bios usually uses one of the middle ones (drive manufacturers use the first - which gives biggest number of course, surprise surprise!)
