I try to inject media in my tape libray using the vltinject command. But I can't figure the format in the command.

vltinject profile|robot/vault/profile

I have a vault policy to eject the media with the catalog backups, and it works fine.

What I want is a policy to inject the media when it is returned from my off-site location.

Anybody have a clue? I havn't

P.S: Injecting the media using the Administration Console works fine.

I am not familiar with the way you are wanting to do it.
I use vmchange

What I want is to use VLTINJECT in a vault policy if possible. I know how to use VLTINJECT from a command line. Isn't there a way to have Veritas automaticly inject the tape when I have inserted the tape in the media access port in the library.
Or can't netbackup handle a schedule that isn't a normal backup schedule?

A way could be to have the Windows Scheduler to run the task, but that is my last solution.

Any suggestions?

OK, I checked vltinject and it cannot be used in a "vault policy" to inject tapes into a library as available out of the box. You could use a scheduler to run the command line or perhaps you could use a regular backup policy to run a backup and use either bpstart_notify or bpend_notify to call the command at the start or finish of the backup. That's all I can think of.
