Scenerio:

The app area drops 5,000 files all at once in a trigger directory. The map that pulls these files are wildcarded, however it is single threaded. This takes a whole day to process all of these files and FTP them to the TP.

We have 50 other systems with legitiamte watches/triggers that need to be satisfied throughout the day.

What are some InitPendingHi & Low settings that I can set that will alleviate the monoploization of the 5,000 file system? Currently, they are 0.

Good idea, adjust 1 thread at a time. I'm curious, even though the proc is hyper-threaded, I should only see one CPU in taks manager?

How can I verify that hyper-threading is enabled?

You would see two CPUs in Task Manager. Go to performance and check to see if Show one Graph per CPU is checked.

If not available, talk to your admin.

This is windows 2000, so there is only show one graph all CPU history or show one graph per CPU history. When I selected all, 2 history graphs showed up. I'll stil contact my admin to verify.
