Initial Setup for SES 5.2.1 1

i cant seem to find any documentation on the initial setup of SES 5.2.1 i loaded the software via telnet but cant get a login screen. it tells me there is a problem with the SMI and to check the logs. i have been looking for an initial setup doc but am not having any luck. can someone point me to that please.

Try using

https://192.11.13.6/admin

for the initial setup, "craft/craft01", you can also use SSH with Putty to initially connect. You need to go into the firewall settings, and access settings in the maint web broswer and enable the ports / services you want as well.

if you use Putty and connect, run "initial_setup" to setup the IP Info, etc.

tried doing that but this is what i get:
SMI GUI - invalid usage!
Invalid usage detected!
Please see logs for more details.
If this problem is persistant with the current session, please close this window and click Log Off from the main SMI GUI screen to log in again.

use Putty first to the 192.11.13.6 service port IP, login as "craft", pw "craft01" and type "initial_setup"

Setup your IP address's, etc, first.

Thanks Mitch! that got me in and i have access now. i am using this for connectivity to a 5.2 MM and Meeting Exchange Express and have never used SES before. any suggestions on what should be configured or any particular order or tips you could share. thanks.
