Infrastructure install

I have a IBM server with 172gb of drive space, and 4 gb, windows 2000 sp3.

During the install of Oracle 9ias infrastructure I get the following messages in a log file after I try to install the infrastructure instance configuration assistant.

IAS Instance creation failed
Configuration failed for JAZN
JAZN configuration failed: unable to establish a directory context.

Have you tried downloading and running the validate routine from metalink? That helped us limp through our R2 install on unix.

Thanks, we did, but it turned out we were getting boned by intel's hyper-threading/Windows 2000 combo. Hyper-threading looks like two processors to windows 2000, even though it is 1 physical, and 1 logical, hence windows 2000 said "oh look 2 processors". We disabled hyper-threading in the cmos, and the install went through then.
