I need to be able to use an infrared port to communicate with a PocketPC. Has anyone done this sort of thing before? Can you lead me in the right direction?

Is this a "loaded" quesiton? I've never done this sort of thing in FoxPro. I have just started researching if I can do it.

IR is basically just another port. It's up to you to configure it to suit your needs. From there, it would be like opening a COM port with low-level I/O functions.

Thanks. I'll keep digging.

The "normal" activex use for communication ports (ie: com1,com2 ) is Microsoft Communication Control that comes with VFP. (mscomm32.ocx)
