Help!
Suddentlig my 5.5 MS Exchange Information Store process (STORE.EXE) began to use almost 100% cpu time, and brought all applications down.
Can anyone please help me?

Kind regards
Jack

What antivirus are you using? There is an issue with InoculateIT v6.0.

Cheers.

I am using Network Associates (McAfee) GroupShield for Exchange and McAfee VirusScan 7.1 on the server.

What version of Groupshield are you using?
I was having the same problem when my server updated from 4366 to 4367 (automatically).
I restored the backup to version 4366. Problem solved.

Hi,

I'm having the same problem, can it be something to do with de size of the Information Store?

I'm also having problems with sending and receiving attachments.

I don't know if the size of the Information Store matters. My IS is about 1.5 Gb. My email users are (rather) restriced concerning the size of their mailbox.
No problems on sending or receiving what so ever.

Hi, Meeuwes.

It seems that GroupShield is the problem.
My IS is about 4,5 - 5 Gb. And the Srvr doesn't like what Store.exe is doing at the moment. Thats why the Send-Receive probs.

Anyway Thanx for da Info.

Solved!!!

Get the latest Sdat from mcafee and all your problems are solved.

It seems to be a conflict between older Scan Engines and the Dat 4367.

Running the latest Sdat solved my problem.
