I have 2003 SP2 Enterprise edition and all of a sudden about 10 days ago my Information Store service terminated about 2:43am and the next day I would bring it up and after a minute it would terminate again. So what I did is run a database log file recovery check, database itegrity check and an offline defrag, afterthat restarted the computer and it started working.Yesterday it went down again same way at the same time. I have done the same log file recovery and integrity check and it is back online. Now I am wondering if it is going to do it again. Anyone experience anything like this or have any ideas to guide me through getting this resolved. Thanks a lot.

offline defrag gets it running for a bit? Almost sounds like you are running standard though you say Enterprise. Definitely take a trip to event log and post event IDs that relate to exchange.

Also check your badmail folder.

at 2:43 am i got an event ID 7034 Service Control Manager.
it just says the the exchange iformation store has terminated uunexpectedly and that it has done this 1 time.

I know I am running Enterprise I have checked all the places for that. I should correct myself I ran only integrity check and log file recovery. After having it work again in a couple of days then I ran offline defrag.
Anyway the second time it happened I ran integrity check and log file recovery to get it going again. There is nothing in bad mail folder. I mean whatever it is seems to be related to the database.
