I just recieved an email from a distant branch that when they email us they get an error message that says our email DB is full. what does this mean I am running exchange 5.5 on an NT4 server, and I need to correct this immediately or I'm in for it. Thanks

Small business server has 1 gig
Standard has 16 gig
Enterprise no limit
use ExMerge to move out old email
or make *.pst and then do it.

if you the admin.
tell you boss to delete, move to pst or buy Enterprise
with move harddrive space or e-mail goes bye bye,
not your fault. unless you the boss.

Mr. Hornbeck is right, and one more thing...unfortunately, once the IS grows, it doesn't shrink unless you perform an OFFLINE defrag, so deleting mail is only a temporary fix that allows new data to be written to the free space left over by the deletion process. Upgrade to enterprise if you don't have it...
