Hi everyone, this is my dilema...trying to figure out the following configuration. Can anyone give me some help? My higher ups have given me a tight timeline...LIKE TOMORROW...for an answer!
Alternate 1 switch configuration:
1 CP PM as a Call Server
1 CP PM as a Signaling Server
2 Media Gateway Controllers
2 4526T Routers
1 SR1002 Router
1 PRI for call processing/SIP trunks
Alternate 2 switch configuration:
1 Media Gateway Controller
1 CP PM as a Call Server
1 IBM eServer X-Series 306m
2 4526T Routers
1 PRI for call processing/SIP trunks
Main switch configuration:
2 CP PM Signaling Servers
1 Dell PowerEdge 1750 Server
2 4526T Routers
2 PRI’s for call processing/SIP trunks
2 CP PIV’s as CPU’s (not sure if this info is needed) for CS 1000M, the other two sites are stand alone CS1000Es
I need to know how I can make this setup survivable in the event of a disaster at one of the 3 sites. So survivability and redundancy are of utmost importance. The two alternate sites process their calls over the SIP trunks through the main site. Should anything happened to any one link in this design the others should be able to process calls as normal. Right now, that is not possible. When the main site goes down the other two sites are down as well. The other two sites communicate over approximately 70+ SIP trunks and 1 DCH assigned to them.
So my question is what other equipment, routing, programming, or anything you can imagine, would I need? I am relatively green at this.
If there is any other information you need let me know.
Thanks
