Informatica service doesn't start......!!!!!

When i try to start the Informatica service from the services in the Win 2000 server the following error is being displayed.
"Could not start the Informatica service on Local Computer.
The service did not return error. This could be an internal Windows error or an internal service error.
If the problem persists, contact your system administrator."

Also if some times it is getting started it immediately stops. Can any one help me resolve this problem.
 
Probably solved your problem already, but try to create a case out of this with the Informatica helpdesk. My experience is very, very positive with the way Informatica handles problems of this nature!! T. Blom

Hi,

did you check out the event viewer for error messages? You need to look at the applicatio event queue.

if you look at the event viewer, you will find the problem that prevents the service from running.

Most of the times, the database where the repository is sitting may not be up and running.

Also check the platform key in the server settings;username, password for the repostory database connection and make sure they are all correct.
