Hi,
Can somebody help me to understand the exact meaning of this error msg :

09/02/03 10:31:42 AM nsrd: media warning: \\.\Tape0 reading: read open error: No media in drive.
nsr snmp feature is not enabled

Because there was the media in the drive and after this message come another msg :

09/02/03 10:35:52 AM nsrd: media info: unload error for jukebox `STK9710' detected. Retrying
09/02/03 10:35:52 AM nsrd: media info: unload retry for jukebox `STK9710': sleeping 30 seconds

some suggestion please

I think that this kind of errors may happen when the inventory is not up to date or during drive unload (in verbose mode) operations, it is not necessarly errors.

Read Open Error can happen with blank media (never labeled by Legato).

Unload error / retry can happen during unload operation (jukebox tries to pick the tape which is not ready to unload, it is a "normal" error message!).

Are you using ACSLS Silo?
If so, then look on the actual device, see if there is a tape loaded. It looks like there isn't and it is trying to get in step.
Go to the autochanger, right-click, select edit, click on volumes and delete the entry from the 3 loaded sections. Remember to leave the line in there, only delete the characters making up the slot number and volume name.

Thank's all we have found the problem, after the new drive installation the scssi id have change we cerrected this and now everything is ok
