Hi folks,
I have a machine infected with the W32.Sircam virus that once it reaches the desktop, reboots. I can't run any of the removal tools since I can't get to the desktop. I've tried running a few fix tools (symantecs and trend micos versions of these fix tools) in DOS, but they don't work. Any suggestions would be absolutely dreamy! Thanks in advance!

Many options...

* Reinstall NT to a different folder. You gain access to the data on the drive from here and/or disable services via the registry and attempt to reload your old system.
(
* Another trick is to take the drive of the machine that won't boot, and attach it to an NT machine that does work. Use regedit to load the hive off the other drive and make modifications to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Oldsystemname\ControlSet00x\Services \<Name of suspected service>. "Nuclear war can ruin your whole compile."

Thanks, Skyler.
I'm trying the reinstall NT option right now. Thanks again for the timely and helpful response!
