Inetinfo.exe causes CPU to run ay 100%

I'm running Win 2K Professional and IIS 6

My CPU is up at 100% with inetinfo.exe consuming all of it. I tried unintalling IIS and reinstalling it. When IIS was uninstalled, the CPU consumption was normal again. The moment I had IIS back on my machine, inetinfo.exe was up at 99%.

Any suggestions?

Well for one what are you doing with 2K Prof and IIS 6... I don't think those play nice together...

Windows 2003 IIS6.0 is usually the match up you'll see most often...

Did you try to grab the binary files off of some 2003 server or website upgrade you saw for IIS6.0 ? You might have some conflicts going on with that setup.

Oops--meant IIS 5. Since I posted I uninstalled and reinstalled one more time. So far, I haven't had any problems.... thanks.
