44p - AIX 4.3.3

trying to clone one of my other systems onto the 44p (have done this at least 8 times with no problem)

When the system reboots I get the following error

0781-199 unable to create socket errno=66 type of socket not supported in this protocol family

inetd does not start

Any clues?

Alex

I don't remember exactly but I had similiar problem in the past and it was soleved by installing latest Maitenance Level. BTW: Check also space in /var filesystem.

As i've said, I have already done this several times with the same software, so ML is not an issue - /var is only 48% used

OK - problem solved

doing lppchk -v revealed 2 missing bos.up filesets (clone from multi to uni)

installed them inetd now running - no strange errors (so far!)
