Inet Mail Service not sending out anymore!!

Hello,

I have an emergency situation that has just occured and I cant figure out what is going on!

Setup:

NT 4 Server, SP6a
Exchange 5.5 SP3
TrendMicro VirusScan 3.51 (on same machine)


We can recieve mail no problem,
However if I try to send out to say, Hotmail or yahoo or any other external recieptant, it doesnt work! It doesnt bounce back either. The annoying part is, I dont even see the message appear in the TrendMicro box (it shows all incoming and outgoing messages in realtime).

Now...If stop and restart the Internet Mail Server, a huge flood of messages comes pooring through, it seems to work for a little while , then is stops again.


Does any one have any thoughts on this? PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi,

Service Pack the Exchange server to the latest version sp4 for Exchange.
This should resolve the problem if any dlls have been deleted by your Anti-virus program or written over by another program.
