Indexed field

Hi

I have a table of 80000 records. I have EmpID as a primary key. But I also need LastName to be indexed in order to speed up my query.
Can two fields be indexed? How do I do that?

Sabavno,

This can be done easily. Go into design view on your table, and select the last name field. In the bottom left corner of the screen will be a row that says "Indexed". Change this to Yes (Duplicates OK), and save your table.

The thing is that LastName may be duplicated (two same names)

Can we still index that field?

That is why you are selecting Indexed(Duplicates OK).
