Howdy!!

I installed RedHat 9, and running Apache. When trying to access the server ( it loads the index.html page that is in there, shows all the text, but none of the images or java applets. They show as broken. Yes, the files are all there, and I already verified capitalization.

Nothing in error_log.

access_log was showing 304 for all but the index.html. So I emptied IE's cache, deleted all temp files and history. Now access_log shows 200 with the filesize with proper number of bytes, but still does not show the images.

Here comes the funny part... there's a link on that page that goes to page2.html

that page2.html also has images, and they all show properly.

Any idea?

thanks in advance!

Cheers,

check access rights to the folders. chmod 666 filename or chmod 666 directory/

i had this problem many times.

Check your paths and make sure they're correct. For instance if the images are in a folder called 'images' the html entry should look something like:

c:/mywebs/images/myimage.jpg

in linux
/mywebs/images/myimage.jpg

in either
./images/myimage.jpg
