Is anybody else having problems with InDesign's spell checker retaining words you added to the dictionary? The trend seems to be it will retain added words for 30-45 minutes, but then it starts losing them. If you do a second spell check on a document 2 hours after you added words to the dictionary, it won't remember anything you added. But they don't all go at once. That's the real scary part.

I have this same problem. I figured it was a PC thing. I have a lot of medical terminology in my documents and I'd love to add them to my dictionary and keep them there. It would save a lot of time in proofing!

An alternative might be to create an external user dictionary and import it into InDesign. Just a thought...
