I am using indesign 2.0, WIN NT 4 sp 6 and trying to print to HP laserjet 2100 TN network printer with HP laserjet 2100 PS 6 driver or the pcl 5E driver and when I print the document only the graphics but no text print. I am using Giovanni ITC typeface. Interestingly enough when I print out on a HP inkjet it prints fine.

When you have the "Print" dialogue window up.
Click the "Graphics" button and make sure you have the correct settings for FONTS Download (probably should have "complete"
Also if you have "ticked" the "download PPD fonts" or not, can have an effect on your printing.
Try different settings...maybe you will get it to work.
