The problem is that MS Word file has italic and bold but when I place it to InDesign all the italics and bolds are gone.
When I place the text I don't want to have all the Words Styles and formatting but I do need Italic and bold.
I ticked the box: Preserve Local Overrides, but it doesn't seem to do so...
For CS3 there is a script "PreserveLocalFormatting" but I need something similar for CS2
i dont't have acces to id2 right now, but you can try this...
1. first make a charaterstyle bold and italic.
2. import the text.
3. find/change
a. leave "change what" and "change to" blank
b. find format settings: format
Basic charater format -> fill "bold" at font style
leave other fields blank
c. change format setting: format
set charater syle to "bold"
d. execute find/change
4. now all bold text have a charaterstyle.
5. select all the text en goto the flt-out arrow,
at the paragrah panel. Select clear overwrite.
6. the "+" should be gone at the paragraph styles AND
the text that was bold should be unchanged.
No need for a script.
