Indesign CS prints in black and white after pdf conversion

I have a problem printing indesign CS to PDF as it only prints in black and white even though it appears color on the PC. Any other PDF document prints in color and the indesign file when printed does so in color. It is Adobe writer 6.0

Is the PDF Colour? and you just can't print it Colour?
or is the ID file colour, PDF B/W?

In your print menu make sure it says combined CMYK instead of combined greyscale

yes the pdf is in color and it just wont print in color even on various printers. However other color pdf in color print correctly The CMYK settings are correct.

Are you using the same Printer PPD when printing the PDF to the Colour Printer?

In sheer frustration I reinstalled the printer drivers, Indesign and Adobe 6 and hey presto it prints in color. Unfortunately now I am not sure what was at fault but at least it is working and I appreciate your time Marcus in solving the problem.

No worries, for future reference, I'll bet it was your PPD's the whole time.
