Hello, I guess this is a rather stupid question, but I really can't find the Vertical Type Tool in InDesign 2.0, like there is one in Photoshop for example.

What's the trick in typing vertical in InDesign?

Thanx in advance,

Pillow

Is this what you are looking for?

Set the type & then select the type frame & in the transform box, rotate it + or - 90 degrees.

No, I really mean to place the characters in a vertical line above eachother, like if you tab "enter" (or "return") after typing every character... That's how I did it now, anyway...

In InDesign, you do pretty much the same thing but first select the type tool, make a narrow & deep text block. Then type a letter, return, type next letter until you're done. You can just touch the type box with the blak arrow to globally change the font, leading, type size, centering, etc. If you have too many letters for the size of the box, a little "+" sign will appear in the lower right corner - take the black arrow & drag the box deeper until everything appears.

Okay, then that's what I'm going to do. I just wondered if there was a special tool for vertical typing, like there is one in Photoshop.

But hey, I'm helped out now ;) Thanks.
