incrementing numbers in Excel 2

Hi all,

This may be a pretty easy thing to do, but I can't do it and its driving me crazy!

How can I set up Excel so that if I put the number "1" in cell A1 for example - when I pull the fill handle down it increments the numbers?

Essentially I want to make a list in column A from 1-100 without typing each out individually.

Hi,

If it won't do it with one cell, type a 1 in the first cell and a 2 in the next cell, select the two of them and then drag the hangle down.
