Hi,
I have exterior 984 POOL Emergency Analog Speaker Pool Phone (Hands Free) and needs to increase the volume for this analog phone through the Hipath 4000 Assistant. Can someone help me?

I don't know if you can do anything on an analog phone via the system to change the ring volume. Ring voltage is ring voltage. The only things that really affect it are the REN of the device (resistance) and you can't do anything about that, plus any ringer control on the phone.

I know there is an AMO that allows you to mess with the ringer settings - I think it is ACTDA, but I'm not sure it affects analog phones, and there is a place in Assistant, but I'm not at work so I can't look. It is in a really STUPID place like under Maintenance or something and I think it's called handset settings or feature settings or something and you can change the ringer volume in there too.

Ok.I found that one but that not for analog line :(
I need to increase the speaker volume because it's a hands free.
Is there a way to amplify the sound?
Thank you!

What brand of phone is that? Viking? Gai-tronics?
If you look at the documentation for it or the tech documentation there may be little "trimpots" on the circuit board that might allow you to change the volume or mic sensitivity, or some of them can be programmed through their keyboard if they have one, or by changing a jumper on the system board to "programming mode" and then dialing the extension of the device and using your own phone to alter operating parameters. I know on the gai-tronics ones there are some programming capabilities.

Other than that I have no other suggestions other than the fact that it is an analog device so you could buy one of those big-a$$ bell ringers like they use in warehouses or a Viking SR-1 "external ringer" that would be wired in parallel with the phone and has a power supply so you can crank the volume up louder. I use the SR-1 in situations where a phone that is expected to answer rolls over to that after so many rings and alerts a room full of people - anyone in its pickup group can grab that call.

If you want to upgrade and go SIP, check out this guy:

They're $300 on Amazon. Very loud and can be used as a noisemaker, paging speaker, or 2-way intercom. Very nice web interface and for noisemakers, you can just upload WAV files or use their built-in ones.

Your best bet is to contact Pool Phone to ask if it's possible to adjust the volume at the phone.
I looked, but didn't find any manual for the phone, and couldn't find any service settings for it online.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the analog phone volume can not be adjusted through the 4K.

You can use TREF to adjust attenuation on 4K, quieter by 10dB and louder by -4. I doubt it would help, and it's system wide, all analogs would be effected. I agree you need to do this on the phone.
