Increase the size limit of files being updloaded 1

Among other things, we'd like to use SPS/WSS in place of an FTP site. As a test user with contributor permissions, I tried to upload 54,000 KB zip file and got an error that it was too big. How can I change this restriction?

Hello. The default upload size is set to 50mb. To change this do the following:

1. Go to Portal Server Central Administration / Configure Virtual Server settings from the Virtual Server List page / Click on the portal you want to modify / Choose Virtual server general settings

2. Then just change the Maximum Upload Size

Hopefully this fixes the issue that you were referring to.
