What load do I go into to increase the call forwarding paths? Also what do I need to change to increase it to 10?

What are call forwarding paths?

that is what I'm trying to find out. Here is my problem, I have one of my DID's forwarding to a external number. every exchange can call the DID and get forwarded, but one. They can also call other DID's in our numbering plan, but not the forwarded number. I am being told by, the telco where the number being forwarded to-- to increase the Call Forwarding multi-path.

I would set up your d channel messaging, but maybe what they are saying is your NXX is not built to allow that exchange to go out. Try this, can you dial that number from your pbx? If so, I would tell the telco it's their issue

I agree that it is telco's problem. I can make a call through our PBX to that number. also call externally to the DID in our PBX and get forwarded to that external number. now telco says to load 211 to fix the problem. Is there a ld211?

give that man a quarter.. he's 100 percent right on a dms. we don't have path limits on our boxes..

one exchange can not call the forwarded did.. can they call the did if the forward is not active? can they call the forward target? if an exchange can not call the forward target, report that.. if the 434 can not call the 727, do not mention forward or a pbx.. as soon as you mention either to the co, they assume the problem is yours,, if you just report 434 can not call 737, the co knows the problem is his local translation team

We use multi-path in our branch networks but that is a CO option not CPE. For us, we forward all of our bank branches to an IVR to divert calls from the branches themselves, we have to have multi-path on those lines so it will forward 5 calls at once instead of 1. Is that what you are describing?

the DID gets and forwards about 10,000 calls a month. it is only happening from one nxx which is in our PBX. I will try it without the forwarding on but have to do it after hours. I thanks for the help everyone with my skills I need it..
