Hi,all,

A external client is trying to send a message to a representative in our company, getting error message like this:
"This message is larger than the current system limit or the recipient's mailbox is full. Create a shorter message body or remove attachments and try sending it again."

So I increase the global limit size to 10M. increase the recipient's receiving limit to 10M->20M, SMTP Virtual Server Setting to 4->10M->20M. The message size is about 8M. The client still get the error message. our representative still cannot receive the email.

Can anyone shed some light on this?
thanks

Maybe the problem is from the one who is originating the message. You may have configured the your system to receive messages with 10 Mb, but if the external user who is sending the message has restritions in their mail system that could be the problem.

Does the destination mailbox is full? Have you checked that?

The NDR message has an SMTP code (something like 5.1.0). What is the SMTP error code?
The SMTP code could be a big clue for a right anwser to your problem.

Thanks.
The SMTP code is 5.2.3
The mailbox is not full.
The sender says she can send the same attachment to other companies.
I increased the global default to 20M, still no luck.

Any help will be appreciated.
