Hi Everyone,

I am having an issue with Aloha software displaying the incorrect time.

Here is the setup:
11 Terminals
1 ALOHABOH
Windows 98 on terminals
Windows 2000 Server on AlohaBOH
Using Aloha 5.2.8

On all systems, I have already installed the Daylight Saving Time Fix. I used the ones from here:
During startup the time shown on the Windows taskbar is the correct time however, once Aloha Table Service (IBER.exe) starts, the time is shifted forward by one hour. The terminals are configured to obtain the correct time from alohaboh at startup. And yes, it is set to the correct time.

The only solution to this problem that seems to work is to go into Aloha Manager and do a "Refresh Data". However, that only solves the problem temporarily as the time later gets reset incorrectly on all terminals.

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks!

Is the boh and foh all set to the same timezone in windows? If the timezone has a check for dst, this must be checked. Otherwise use a timezone that does not have a dst check option if you do not have dst. -This is addressed by a later version of Aloha.

The intelliadmin update only updates the dst calenday in the windows registry. It touches nothing else. It should do fine for what you need.

Whenever ctlsvr is started or a foh terminal is restarted is the only time a time adjustment occurs -ctlsvr broadcasts messages only.

Since everyone's definition of the word, "reset", means something different, what exactly happpens when you state, "the time later gets reset incorrectly"?

If you have run the Aloha DST patch I assume you are now showing "International Time" in the Aloha system settings. If so the next thing to check may be if Windows is set to Autotically sync with internet time on the fileserver. If so, uncheck it.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your input!

The problem has been solved.

Here is how it was done:
1. Turn off US Daylight Savings Time in Aloha Manager
2. Set Arizona Time Zone on all terminals and Alohaboh

Yep, that or Indiana, any time zone that does not do daylight savings will work. After refresh, you can put it back to the correct time zone, and it should work. You just have to know to take a keyboard to every terminal or remote to them individually to set them, not just the server.

Just wanted to ad this for future references to this thread.
